The Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is widely regarded as one of the finest high-performance grand tourers of its era, effortlessly combining exceptional performance, long-distance refinement and everyday usability. Powered by AMG's legendary hand-built 5.4 litre supercharged V8, producing 500bhp and an immense 516lb-ft of torque, the SL55 delivers effortless pace accompanied by one of the most charismatic V8 soundtracks of the modern era.
This late-production example is equipped with the highly desirable AMG Performance Package, often referred to as the 'F1 Performance Pack'. Introduced towards the end of R230 SL55 production, the package brought uprated composite front brakes derived from the SL65 AMG, revised suspension calibration, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels and a factory limited-slip differential, further sharpening what was already an exceptionally capable grand tourer. Today, these Performance Pack cars are regarded as the most desirable examples of the SL55 AMG.
