The Mercedes-Benz SL has long combined open-top motoring with the refinement, comfort and performance expected of the marque's flagship roadster. Introduced in 2001, the R230 generation brought a folding metal Vario-Roof, sophisticated electronics and an elegantly understated design that remains attractive more than two decades later.
This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is finished in Brilliant Silver metallic over a Black Anthracite leather interior. Beneath the bonnet sits Mercedes-Benz's naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 engine, producing approximately 302bhp and driving the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Effortlessly powerful and particularly well suited to long-distance touring, the SL500 offers an appealing blend of sportscar performance and grand-touring comfort.
