History:
- The Jaguar XK 150 is arguably the epitome of a purebred British sports car and represents the pinnacle of the XK series. As the direct predecessor of the legendary E-Type, the XK 150 set new standards with its performance specifications. The 3.4-liter "S" version produced an incredible 254 hp in 1958. Initially available only as a coupe (FHC) and convertible (DHC), the model range was expanded in 1958 to include the roadster (Open Two Seater, OTS). Only 888 units of the XK 150 OTS in the more powerful and exclusive "S" version were produced until 1961, which, along with its sporty DNA and remarkable history, makes it highly desirable for collectors of historic vehicles.
- This XK 150 s was delivered to its first owner in Pennsylvania by Jaguar Cars New York on November 26, 1958. The present Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate confirms the delivery and first ownership.
- The certificate lists the engine numbers, which confirms that the XK 150 still has both the original engine and the original transmission. The latter was ordered with overdrive, allowing the roadster to be driven comfortably even in today's traffic and on long journeys.
- In 2008, the car was imported from the USA to Amsterdam, Netherlands, by the renowned company Houtkamp Collection, where it was completely restored. A good three years later, in 2011, the vehicle was finally sold to its current owner in Lusatia, Germany, and received a German registration and a German license plate. The car has remained with the current owner ever since.
- Since its restoration, the XK has been extensively cared for, serviced, and driven by its owner on annual tours. The roadster is in outstanding condition, both visually and mechanically, and is perfectly suited for sporty rallies and extended drives with unlimited driving pleasure.
