Hilton & Moss are delighted to present this tastefully upgraded and beautifully maintained Jaguar XK120 SE at our Hertfordshire showrooms.

Leaving the Browns Lane factory in June 1954, this original left-hand-drive specimen was exported to California and sold new that August through the renowned Charles Hornburg dealership to its first owner, R. Burneson.

The car later moved to Arizona under the stewardship of Walter D. Willett, who commissioned a meticulous, frame-off restoration. In August 2006, the highly regarded Illinois collector and dealer Bill Jacobs acquired the car in pristine condition, continuing to refine it until his passing in 2010.

The Jaguar then briefly joined the collection of Albert Chin in January 2011, before moving to fellow New Jersey enthusiast Chris Au later that year.

Though born in an understated combination of Light Grey over Suede Green, the XK120 received a high-tier cosmetic refresh around 2012. It was treated to its current, striking livery of Indigo Blue paired with an Oxblood Red leather cabin. The exceptional longevity of this paint, chrome, and upholstery stands as a testament to the uncompromising quality of the craftsmanship applied.

Built to Special Equipment (SE) specification, the car originally delivered 180bhp. However, during its enthusiast-led restoration history, the powertrain was cleverly optimized for competitive driving. It now features a slightly later XK120 engine block mated to a desirable, high-performance C-Type cylinder head, raising output to an estimated 210bhp.

Configured specifically for maximum driving engagement and a vintage racing aesthetic, '385 YUT' features several evocative upgrades:

- Brooklands aero screens in place of the standard glass

- A sleek teardrop headrest

- Leather bonnet straps

- Front-mounted Lucas spotlights

- Chromed wire wheels

Registered in the UK in May 2013, this Jaguar has already proven its reliability on the world stage, successfully completing both the 2013 and 2014 Mille Miglia Retrospective rallies. Complete with its official FIVA Identity Card, this turn-key roadster remains fully eligible for the world’s most prestigious historic motoring events.

The vehicle is currently receiving comprehensive sales preparation in the Hilton & Moss workshops, presenting an incredible, event-proven opportunity for its next custodian to fulfil their bucket-list classic rallying ambitions.

Available only at Hilton & Moss.
