On behalf of a customer, we are selling this beautiful and special classic, a BMW 320 E21 Baur Convertible.

The BMW 320 Baur is a top-of-the-line convertible. It was produced from 1978 to 1982 in an edition of approximately 4,600 units and is based on the first generation of the 3 Series E21.

The vehicle offered here is a special edition. The BMW 320 E21 Baur is a convertible conversion of the BMW E21 sedan, carried out by the Baur body shop in Stuttgart.

This convertible features a removable Targa roof in the front, which can be stowed in the trunk when not in use. A folding top is also installed in the rear. The BMW 320 thus offers various uses: as a coupe, with an open Targa roof, as a landaulet with the top open at the rear, or completely open for that true convertible feel.

The vehicle was purchased from a BMW dealer in Aachen in 1979, and after the father of the current owner bought it, it was used for a long time at the family's second home in Italy. After a long period of storage there, it was extensively restored with great attention to detail in 2012 and 2013. The photographic documentation available to us shows that the BMW was stripped down to the bodyshell and then professionally and professionally rebuilt. During this process, the doors were also replaced and the car received a new paint job. The roof center section is in its original condition. The convertible top with plastic window and the fabric outer skin were also completely replaced.

The BMW 320 E21 Baur is in excellent visual and mechanical condition. An extensive history and service work are documented by photos, invoices, and receipts. This special car has been in the family for 34 years, from father to daughter, and is now being sold with a heavy heart. The current owners have maintained it in top condition over the years.

This BMW is a true classic, highly sought after by collectors due to its limited production run and its special modifications.
