Independent expert opinions increase the probability of a sale

According to recent surveys by Classic Trader, independent pre-purchase appraisals are a sales-promoting measure. Vehicle sellers can attach one (or more) appraisals to the vehicle description on Classic Trader and thus substantiate the sale value. Pre-purchase appraisals and value appraisals in particular, which have been prepared impartially, contribute to the credibility of the offer. A new feature is the “Report” label in search results on the Classic Trader marketplace.

Our marketing evaluations have shown that vehicles with appraisals are on average 11.9 % more in demand than comparable offers without such evidence. Vehicles with the new condition report from CT Inspections¹ receive up to 23 % more hits.

WHY SHOULD YOU OFFER YOUR VEHICLE WITH A REPORT?

Prospective buyers feel better informed in advance about the desired vehicle and any weaknesses – according to them, this creates trust. As a result, the actual sales process is often quicker and more targeted.

Furthermore, sellers can achieve higher prices with an appraisal report or condition report from CT Inspections¹, as potential buyers are willing to pay more for a well-documented and well-maintained vehicle. In addition to increasing demand and the selling price, a neutral appraisal also offers other decisive advantages: for example, it can serve as neutral evidence in the event of disputes between buyer and seller and be helpful in insurance matters.

CONCLUSION ON THE PRE-PURCHASE APPRAISAL

A pre-purchase appraisal or condition report from CT Inspections¹ is therefore not only useful in determining the value of a vehicle, but also contributes to the credibility of the offer and increases the chances of a quick and successful sale.
