2010 Maserati GranCabrio
The Maserati GranCabrio was launched in 2009, two years after its hardtop cousin the GranTurismo. Powered initially by the 4.7 litre Ferrari-derived V8 engine sitting in the Quattroporte V platform, the GranTurismo was famously developed in just nine months, a record that stood for many years after and making a convertible version comparatively easy for the Italian marque to produce. The GranCabrio was Maserati's first four-seater convertible, something of a surprise given the marque's grand touring heritage, and while first and foremost a grand tourer, that powerful Ferrari V8 is not there for nothing, especially when paired with the paddle-shift gearbox, which operates so quickly that you'll need to keep a close eye on the speedometer! The Maserati GranCabrio was launched in 2009, two years after its hardtop cousin the GranTurismo. This example has covered fewer than 20,000 miles, making it a thoroughly enticing opportunity for its next owner to indulge in all their Italian Riviera reveries for many miles to come. Presented in the subtle, yet superb, shade of deep blue over a beige leather interior, there is comfort and luxury to spare. Our vendor owned the car from 2018 until his passing earlier this year and in that time only drove 800 miles, and due to ill health was not able to use the car for an extended period of time. It remained in presentable condition overall, however, and runs as expected, while the soft top rises and falls elegantly at the push of a button. Interested parties should note that the Offside Front Coil spring has broken and the car is showing an ABS fault, so these will need to be addressed for the car to pass an MoT. Representing an enticing route into supercar ownership, this Maserati combines striking Italian styling with remarkable value for money. Offered without reserve, it presents an excellent opportunity for the next owner to enjoy the character and presence of a genuine supercar without the associated price tag. With its attractive presentation and accessible estimate, this is a compelling proposition for anyone looking to add some Italian flair to their garage. Consigned by Charlie McCreery
