Porsche 924 on sale, one of the very first, precisely chassis 1485, built in Neckarsulm probably in January 1976 and registered in Germany on 8/03/76, in the splendid Viper Green Metallic, colour used on many press cars to present the newborn Porsche sports model. As stated in the certificate of origin, the beige and brown leatherette interiors with tartan fabric were combined with the viper green of the exterior; this color was available only in the first year of production.
As options, the car has stabilizer bars, 6x14 alloy wheels, oil pressure and temperature indicators, three speakers with antenna and tinted green glasses that match perfectly with the original Viper Green.
Subsequently, the car underwent some aesthetic/functional updates of latter model years: it received the luggage cover together with the central velvet upholstery of the seats, in addition to the rubber finishing edge on the sides. The flashy Viper Green Metallic color was concealed by a more banal red, fortunately in an unprofessional way: for this reason traces of green can easily found in the engine compartment, underbody and in all parts that were not visible from the outside. This makes any repainting work not too difficult.
The underbody is in good general condition, rust free, not crashed: it only needs to be washed with high pressure hot water to bring out the original color. Similarly, interior can be disassembled, washed and sanitized, covering only the dashboard (with the typical cracks of the first examples) and covering the central part of the seats to restore the car to its original configuration. Mechanically, the car requires a general overhaul, although some works have been carried out in the past (brake pipes, muffler, electrical system overhaul, etc.).
The car was imported to Italy in 1990 and had only one owner until 2016 when it passed into the hands of the mechanic who undertook the restoration work. It is delivered with Italian number plate, registration document and Porsche certificate of origin. Photos of the underbody are available; the car is visible in Bologna.
