Description

The Suzuki Katana (which takes its name from the Samurai swords) was unveiled at the Cologne Motor Show in 1980. Designed by car engineers, its very modern shape was innovative for its time. The headlight grille stands out, while the tank is coupled to the sides and the saddle, the seat is pushed far back and shaped to allow a sporting ride, while the handlebar is lowered and tilted. The 1982 Katana has greater power (111 hp at 8,500 rpm), making it an extremely fast bike. It has a four-cylinder, 16-valve, 1074 cc engine.
