This fantastic-driving Fiat Spider 1800 was originally delivered in the US, but was completely converted to the European model during the restoration. That means: no side indicators, no bulky bumpers, but the elegant, original European look.
The car was imported into the Netherlands in 1991 and was stored in a dry place for years with the second owner. In 2018/2019, it was fully and professionally restored by a renowned restoration company. I bought the car in 2020 with 39,413 miles on the odometer; it is now at 43,311 miles. Always driven on Superplus 98. Unfortunately, I have less and less time due to staying abroad. Work performed (professionally done)
Interior & Exterior
2020: Completely new leather interior (previously imitation leather), new seat padding, artificial leather on doors and dashboard, renewed center console – cost €4,000
Blue license plates fitted (yellow plates available)
Original steel rims with hubcaps installed (extra set of rims with tires available)
Various interior parts renewed (including kick plates, heating unit)
Technical & Maintenance
Aug 2020: Cylinder head planed, gaskets replaced, oil & coolant changed, valves reground and polished
Mar 2022: New Varta battery
Jul 2023: Brake force regulator replaced
Aug 2023: Four new Pirelli tires, brakes & discs checked, car aligned
2025: Weber Downdraft carburetor fully overhauled by a specialist – starts immediately, even in frost
