Description

Offered for sale is a 1934 Alvis Silver Eagle Sport Special. Originally fitted with a Cross & Ellis body, in the 1990s the car was converted into the racing car we see today by renowned Alvis specialist Chris Compton. Compton has more than four decades of experience in restoring, modifying and rebuilding pre-war Alvis vehicles.

The Alvis arrived in Germany in 1998, at which point the restoration was not yet complete. It changed hands several times within Germany before finally coming into the possession of its current owner in 2009. In 2023, the restoration work that had begun in the 1990s was taken up again: the vehicle was completely dismantled and rebuilt from scratch. All work has been comprehensively documented.

The 2,362 cc supercharged six-cylinder engine is particularly noteworthy. The Alvis Silver Eagle Sport Special on offer is ready for immediate use and has German road approval.
