I built this machine for the track in the 1990s in order to participate in competitions for classic machines, with the aim of overcoming the main flaws of the bevel drive 750 Ducati twin on short circuits. (wheelbase and column angle too large, congenital fragility of the crankshaft, random gearbox locking, cylinder/head assembly too bulky to allow a drastic reduction of the column angle)
I deeply modified the engine in order to obtain a stroke bore ratio of 87mm/ 64mm (original 80mm/ 74, 4mm) and built a plain bearing crankshaft from an 851 crankshaft, a deep modification of the lubrication circuit with oil filter.
The cylinder heads have been modified to change the valve angle from 80° to 60° in order to have a more compact combustion chamber.
Dry clutch and modified selector drum for better gear locking.
Numerous participations in the historic Ardennais in Jehonville, and absolute lap record in 1997, 3rd and 2nd place at the Classic TT de Gedinne, participation in various classic motorcycle events (Pro Classic, hill races, Speed Trophy (Anneau du Rhin), some participation in the Moto Légende cups, riding within the Ducati Club, etc...
