Volkswagen Golf 1.5 GL in an incredible beautiful condition with 51,106 km. Untouched and completely original! Bought new by the mother of the last owner, so remained within 1 family for no less than 42 years from new. With extensive history including all booklets, lots of maintenance bills and MOT forms. Almost impossible to find in this rust-free state. Just had a major service including a new timing belt and new MOT, so it is ready for many safe kilometres.

The GL was ordered new with several nice options like an automatic gearbox, green heat reflective glass, laminated windscreen and metallic paint. It was no bargain at the time but the best quality car in its class. The doors close like a safe and the seams are perfect. Largely in its original paint. Damage-free, rust-free and almost no signs of use. The exterior looks incredible and the car looks 5 years old instead of 42. The rims still have their original chrome hubcaps.

The interior is completely original and quasi like new. A great time capsule. The beautiful seats have the original upholstery and everything is in one piece. The dashboard is scratch-free and all gauges work as they should including the Philips radio. The headliner, rear seat and luggage cover are also completely undamaged and that after 42 years.

This Golf still drives great: comfortable, modern and with a feeling of German solidity. Getting in is like coming home and rightly so that the Volkswagen Golf was the best-selling car in Europe. Much nicer, prettier and better than the dull Kadett and Escort. Also exemplary readable instruments, generous seats and everything easy for the driver to operate. The finish was excellent and there was (and still is) not a single squeak or creak to be heard. Top quality back then.
