This excellent example, which we have supplied previously, is finished in the desirable shade of Basalt black metallic and is fitted with an extensive optional extras list which includes a full leather interior and Porsche Exclusive Department options.

Our 997 Carrera 4 GTS has the added assurance of the PTM 4WD drivetrain and a PDK double clutch transmission, which combined with the additional 28bhp X51power upgrade package of the GTS and the sports exhaust, delivers a scintillating and rewarding drive.

The 997 is the most commercially successful Porsche 911 of all time. It has been argued that this is the last of the real Porsches, referring to the 997 series as the factory’s swansong whilst under independent ownership. The GTS models enjoy the seductive wide body and feature a whole host of additional options.

A special intake manifold, with six flaps rather than one single flap, switches between power and torque-optimised maps.  As a result, the output of the 3.8-litre flat six is raised from 380 BHP at 6500 rpm to 408 HP at 7300rpm from the X51 power pack, and whilst the maximum torque figure remains at 311 lb/ft, it is produced 200 rpm lower.

The Porsche 997 Carrera 4 GTS blends the very best of the sports models in the Carrera range with the equipment level of the luxury derivatives. The GTS is the hybrid of the performance racetrack inspired models with the everyday sportiness and comfort of its Carrera S sibling. With more power than a ‘S’, and its solid road four-wheel-drive holding, this GTS provides the best combination of power and handling, especially in wet and snowy conditions.

Our car was supplied new by Porsche Centre Reading in May 2012 and has benefited from 7 services, the last of which included new spark plugs and a drive belt replacement.
