The Mini Cooper MPI 1.3 represents the final and most refined evolution of the legendary Classic Mini – an automotive icon renowned for its unmistakable character and timeless appeal. Produced between 1997 and 2000, the MPI (Multi-Point Injection) models are widely regarded as the most developed and desirable versions of the classic British favorite.
Powered by a 1.3-litre fuel-injected four-cylinder engine producing 63 ps, the Mini delivers lively performance while retaining the famous go-kart-like handling that made it a motoring legend. Combined with a curb weight of just 770 kg, the result is a driving experience that feels remarkably spirited and engaging.
This particular MPI has undergone a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration, completed by the renowned Mini specialists Oldtimer Hof in Apen, Northern Germany. Every aspect of the car has been meticulously restored, including the bodywork, underbody, interior, engine, and electrical systems. Importantly, both front and rear screens are factory original with their impregnated chassis numbers. The overall presentation is exceptional, appearing as though the car has just left the factory production line.
Visually, the Mini benefits from a desirable Sport Pack specification, featuring widened wheel arches, 13-inch Minilite alloy wheels, and auxiliary rally spotlights. It perfectly combines the classic Mini look with the comfort and usability of a later-model example. Of course, it is presented in the best colour combination of British Racing Green metallic, with contrasting white roof and matching bonnet stripes and white mirrors.
The interior is equally impressive, featuring black leather seats with elegant cream piping, complemented by matching beige seat belts and leather steering wheel. The cabin presents beautifully and reflects the car's exceptionally low kilometers and documented service book. A classic wood dashboard houses the highly sought-after trio of central gauges: oil pressure, clock, and voltmeter. Completing the specification is a rare and desirable full-length electric sunroof, a feature that truly sets this Mini apart from the crowd.
Thanks to modern refinements such as airbag safety equipment, improved cooling, and fuel injection technology, this MPI offers the ideal balance between classic charm and everyday usability.
