Selling a first-generation 1987 Lada Niva 1600.
This Niva is still the original early version without catalytic converter and without electronically controlled carburettor, which means simple, robust and straightforward mechanics.
The car shows 52,000 km on the odometer, a mileage that appears very plausible given the overall condition.
This Niva presents itself as a very solid and honest example. It is not a modified off-road toy, but a classic Niva with very good structural integrity.
The underbody and bodywork are in very good condition. It is not a heavily rust-damaged example like many Nivas currently on the market. The car has not been used for hard off-road driving and has not been driven on salted winter roads.
Quite a lot has been renewed over the last years. Most recently, the car received a major service including replacement of all oils. In addition, a completely new electronic ignition system has been installed.
The front seats have been replaced for improved comfort, while the original character of the vehicle has been preserved.
The TÜV / inspection has just been renewed and is valid until 04/2027 (plus the usual additional four-month grace period). In other words: register it and drive.
This Niva is ideal as a classic off-roader, a collector’s vehicle, or as a robust leisure, hunting or countryside vehicle.

Off-road tyres and snow chains can be included and are negotiable.
The car has Austrian EU registration papers (full approval completed in 2020). For export, temporary transit plates can be arranged, and I am happy to assist with all formalities.
