Descrizione

VRT 341G was supplied by Jensen Motors Ltd on the 1st October 1968 to dealership Mann Egerton (Midlands) Ltd at Bentley House on London Road, Leicester. We know from paperwork in the cars extensive history file that it spent its early years in Suffolk with G. le M. Croll who subsequently sold the Jensen on in 1971. The FF headed to Ealing in West London and copy buff logbooks detail all early ownership changes throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s.

In 1987 the Jensen was purchased by a Mr Norris who resided between Blackheath, London and Lichfield in the Midlands. Firstly, on initial purchase he took the FF to a Jensen Service Centre, Sturdy and Lowe Ltd and had an engine rebuild carried out. The engine was treated to new big ends and main bearings and new cam followers. At this point the FF was also treated to new rear springs, exhaust clamps, various new ignition items and a full service. the invoice for all this work is on file.

In 1988 Mr Norris then took the FF to Jensen Motors with the mileage at 54,200 and had further work carried out. Invoices for all work at Jensen Cars on Kelvin Way in West Bromwich are on file and detail work to include a full brake overhaul, overhauled radiator and steering rack and replacement fuel tank. The engine bay and dashboard wiring looms were removed and replaced as required. Mr Norris didn't keep the Jensen long, and from the late 1980's through the 1990's, the car only covered 4000 miles.

During the early 2000's the Jensen was extensively restored but was scarcely used on the road. By 2014 the car changed hands and was then subject of another program of work to include a full underbody and suspension overhaul, full re-paint, full top end engine overhaul, engine bay and boot compartment refurbishment, new head restraints and a new period digitally operated clock. Since this program of work, the FF has covered less than 1500 miles and today's mileage is recorded at little under 60,000, just 5000 miles have been covered since it went back to Jensen Motors in 1988. Interestingly, the FF was recently personally owned by one of the UK's top Jensen specialists who methodically checked over the car and ensured it was in top class condition ahead of his ownership.

As result of the work carried out, this FF is in outstanding condition and is presented in showroom condition. The bodywork is exceptional with stunning, clean panels and the paint finish and chromework are first class. The Red leather upholstery is outstanding, the level of detail throughout the car is top quality and on the road this FF is so enjoyable with a brilliant V8 engine note, slick gear changes and ultra-smooth ride, handling and general performance. The car glides along gracefully and feels quiet, of top quality, and has a truly luxurious comfort and feel to it. This is a properly prepared car with stunning, sharp lines and an underside that looks as smart and presentable as the top - this car will not disappoint and is a car we know very having supplied it to its last two owners.
