1991 | Chevrolet C1500

Hello Everyone,

I own a completely rebuild / restored Chevy C1500 and want to put it in some good hands for a great price, given the number of hours and cost of parts spent on the renovation.

The car has been imported from Florida, US to Germany in 1997. The last meter reading is 112,000 miles according to Carfax. It has been de-registered in 2003 and not registered in Germany since that time. In 2020 it has been imported to Poland by a family owned company specializing in classic car restorations. They have worked on it for 2 years and planned to use it as their show car, during fairs. However - I ultimately bought it in 2023. I have all the documents regarding the history in Europe.

This vehicle has been completely put apart including: frame, engine and suspension (see photos). Mechanically it is like new. Interior is original grey veloure in great condition.

When I bought the car, it has never seen snow or rain after the restoration and I have driven very few miles on it - only in the city. 

I have always owned a vintage pick up. Mostly Chevy but also one Ford F 250 (a rare 6.0 diesel). My dream however, has always been a stepside bed, which is quite rare as it offers smaller bed space on the same pick up size compared with a regular type. To make this vehicle even more interesting - it has a manual 4 gear transmition with an overdrive (optional in this model).

The body has been refreshed (including ceramic cover) and in my opinion does not require any work. No rust.

This car drives like a limousine compared with other american old pick ups. It is much, much lighter than most of them, because it has no front wheel drive or the differential between the front and the rear wheel shafts. It has simpler front wheel suspension and a very light gear box. It also has less load capacity due to narrow bed. It means that the suspension could be made more comfortable plus engine can be smaller and offer smooth and dynamic ride with fuel economy.
