History & Provenance - This 1994 BMW 840i has been meticulously maintained both mechanically and cosmetically throughout its life. The original BMW service booklet contains no fewer than 12 BMW main dealer service stamps, complemented by dozens of specialist invoices and supporting documentation contained within a substantial history file. The last owner cherished the vehicle from 2012 onwards, commissioning several condition and insurance valuation reports during ownership. The car has always been dry stored and consequently presents with no rust concerns.

Exterior - Finished in elegant Arctic Silver Metallic, the bodywork remains remarkably original. Aside from the bonnet, which has previously been repainted due to common stone-chip wear, the car still retains its factory paintwork. Penned under the direction of Klaus Kapitza, the E31’s development began as early as 1981 before its dramatic debut at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show. Its futuristic styling stunned the automotive world at launch and continues to command attention over three decades later. The car sits on period-correct and highly desirable 18-inch BMW Cross-Spoke alloy wheels — among the most expensive wheel options available when new. These are fitted with new tyres: Rear: 265/35 ZR18 & Front: 235/40 ZR18 The original factory alloy wheels are also included with the vehicle.
Interior - The interior showcases BMW’s superb craftsmanship of the era, featuring beautifully preserved Nappa leather seats and the distinctive aircraft-inspired centre console design synonymous with the E31. Unlike many E31 models, the headlining in this example remains in excellent condition.

A tyre compressor is also supplied in the boot.
