The Bentley Turbo R was a high-performance model produced by Bentley Motors Limited. It shared the Mulsanne's chassis and inherited the turbocharged engine from the Mulsanne Turbo. However, the Turbo R's V8 engine was re-tuned with new Bosch MK-Motronic fuel injection for added torque. It also sported a revised suspension setup and wider tires on alloy wheels, a first for a Bentley. Motor Trend called the Turbo R 'the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name' in their review of the car on its introduction to the United States in 1989. The suspension changes, though seemingly subtle, transformed the heavy car into a real performer. Anti-roll bar rates were increased 60% front, and 80% rear and tuned dampers were added. A Panhard rod was also introduced, reducing side-to-side movement in corners.

This lovely long wheelbase version of this fabulous British luxury marque is presented in metallic green with Magnolia leather interior. Its interior is in good condition, as are the door cappings and dashboard. The car comes with all the standard luxury one would expect and it also has a full history going back to the original purchase agreement. There are 28 stamps in the book and multiple invoices in the history file. There are also MoT test certificates going back to 2000 and in July 2018 the head gasket was replaced, and the engine was overhauled at a cost in excess of £6,750. This Bentley was recently recommissioned in 2022 when its brake and suspension were replaced at an eye watering cost of £21,796. These superb luxury saloons have stood the test of time in terms of smooth motoring with the abundance of leather providing passengers and the driver with opulence together with its 6750cc V8 providing the power, smoothly and effortlessly.
