R991 JBJ is a beautiful, manual 1998 Aston Martin DB7 having covered just 47000 miles from new. The DB was first registered on the 11th of June 1998 by Five Oaks Garage Ltd, the main distributor for the Channel Islands. It was supplied new in its beautiful Buckinghamshire Green exterior with Olive and Parchment Trim that presents exceptionally well to this day. Extras included Walnut Veneer and a CD player.
The Aston Martin Heritage Trust certificate confirms the car left the factory with an automatic gearbox. In a letter to the previous keeper, Aston Martin Works confirmed they carried out a manual gearbox conversion at 450 miles in September of 1998. The DB7 was used on mainland soil for a few years before heading back to the Channel Islands and at 3261 miles in 2000, 4857 in 2001 and 6123 miles in April 2002 the car was serviced at Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell. In late 2002, back on the Channel Islands at 6419 miles supplying dealership Five Oaks Garage Ltd serviced the car and in 2005 at 10311 Jacksons Ltd in St Peter, Jersey serviced the DB7. The following two services were carried out by HWM Walton on Thames at 18829 and 23458 miles and at 30370 and 38604 Endermore Garaged Ltd in Coventry serviced the car. In 2016 and 2017 at 39097 and 39119 Aston Martin specialists Davron in Salisbury kept up to maintenance and just a few thousand miles have been completed since.
A comprehensive history file to include service book, original manuals, MOT certificates and many service invoices accompanies the car along with spare keys. Before we first sold the car in 2022, over £4000 was spent on overhauling front calipers, rear calipers, new rear radius arms, wheel bearings, front brake discs and pads, new stub axles, refurbished alloy wheels and new headlining. In 2024, £4,500 was spent with Aston Workshop in Beamish. Work included a service, brake fluid change, stripping and adjusting the handbrake mechanism, replacing the AC compressor, AC Condenser, heater matrix, gearbox output shaft seal, thermostat, and reconditioning the radiator. The DB7 arrives back to us in exceptionally clean condition, and is in top class mechanical condition, driving superbly.
This low mileage example has been superbly maintained throughout its life and comes with a host of optional extras and luxuries to include cruise control, air conditioning, heated seats and of course has the highly desirable, sought after manual transmission. R991 JBJ is stunning throughout, comes with excellent paperwork and is a car ready to drive and enjoy, offering exceptional value for money considering its low mileage and fantastic, original condition.
