Few cars capture the essence of Italian sports saloons quite like the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and chassis AR1994476 is a particularly great example. You rarely find them as great as this. First registered in 1974, an original Italian-delivered car from new which remains exactly as specified, with the larger 1570cc engine (its a factory 1.6L) finished in original & rare Verde Oliva Metallizzato (AR213) over Cuoio leatherette, a very elegant yet sporting combination that suits the Giulia’s timeless lines perfectly, so we think at least! 1974 was the last year of the original Giulia (before the Nuova would succeed it), which benefitted from the "Super" specification with the lavish equipment.Believed to have remained in Italy throughout its life until late 2025, when we acquired it in Emilia-Romagna and brought it to Maastricht, this Giulia immediately impressed us with the quality and originality of its body. Straight, honest and wonderfully intact, it retains original spot welds, razor sharp panel apertures and all the signs of an accident-free body. Repainted in the past to a nice standard, it presents beautifully today.

Mechanically, the car is equally convincing. Once it arrived in Maastricht in December 2025, we immediately sent it to our Alfa specialist for a complete inspection to give it the attention it deserved. The result is a well sorted Giulia that drives exactly as a Giulia should: eager, tight and well balanced. Tasteful, reversible upgrades were done by us as well, including 15” GTA-style wheels with fresh Vredestein tires and subtly lowered Eibach springs enhance both stance and road manners without compromising originality. The 1600cc engine starts instantly, hot or cold, and pulls strongly through the rev range. The gearbox is slick and has great synchromeshes (no crunchy 2nd gear, thank you very much). The drivetrain is now free of any sounds or vibrations and the rear axle is in great shape as well. A superb drivers' car that is perfectly suited for spirited use on a touring rally, as well as to Sunday lunch with the entire family!Aesthetically, the car shows only light, honest signs of use and retains all the correct period "Super" details; larger Jaeger dials, centre console and fixings around the car such as the chrome strips on the sills. Further details include the rubber overmats in the interior, correct boot matting, as well as the original jack and spare wheel. The interior is a very nice place to be with great, nicely cushioned seats that show no tears or significant scars. The dashboard is equally neat, with an 80's style radio that blends in nicely (radio currently not connected, we don't want to ruin the door cards with ugly speakers). Who wants to listen to a radio when you have that wonderful twin-cam Alfa sound anyway? The headlining is in great shape as well, in the correct material and colour for the Super specification. The interior is perfectly in harmony with the exterior in both condition and specification.

A dedicated history file accompanies the car, containing the usual Italian documentation, an ASI certificate, some Italian invoices and records of our recent servicing and mechanical work which totalled over €4.000,-. This included a light overhaul of the drivetrain including new pendant bearing, driveshaft balancing, brand new Eibach lowered springs, various suspension bushings and fixings, a brand new set of 15" GTA wheels mated to fresh Vredestein tires and correct GTA wheel bolts (its all about the details after all!). Further work was done to the electrics, exhaust and braking system: rebuilt calipers at the front, new front brake pads, & flexi hoses, custom exhaust end-piece with deleted silencer (unleashing the proper Alfa sound).

This Giulia needs for nothing before being used. Currently accompanied by Italian documents for easy registration anywhere in the EU, naturally we can deliver the car with historic Dutch registration plates for the Dutch clients.

A beautifully presented and expertly sorted Giulia, combining genuine originality with thoughtful upgrades, ideal for those seeking something a little more special than your average 105 Giulia.
