Very beautiful 1982 VW Beetle Silverbug Special Edition
Fitted with a 1600 cc rebuilt 4-cylinder engine instead of the original 1.2 litre engine, with a single carburettor. Engine number: AS 1837627. Equipped with electronic ignition and an electric fuel pump. Starts easily and drives very well. Also suitable as a daily driver and keeps up well with modern traffic.
The paintwork and underbody are in very good condition. The car has always been stored indoors. The exterior has been professionally resprayed and is in excellent condition. The fenders have been finished in Zingraumetallic, the color used on the final Anniversary Beetle delivered in 1986, giving this Silverbug a distinctive appearance compared to other examples. Panel fit is good throughout. Average paint thickness measures approximately 310 µm. The bodywork is in excellent, well-preserved condition. All emblems are present and correct.
The original Tectyl rust-proofing layer is still present and has been professionally maintained and touched up (documentation available). All chrome trim is complete and in good condition. The glass is in excellent condition all around. Rear window defroster fitted. All rubber seals are present and in very good condition.
The front seats and rear bench have been professionally reupholstered in the original fabric and are in excellent condition. The headliner has been renewed and looks very neat and spotless. The floor carpeting and door panels are in very good condition. The dashboard is complete and in excellent condition. All gauges are working.
Original vehicle documents and the original tool kit are present. The maintenance book shows the first owner from Arnhem. Original mileage records from 1982 are largely available (photos available). The original tool kit is complete and included.
