The sDrive35is occupies the top tier of the E89 Z4 range and combines BMW's renowned 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged straight-six with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. Developing approximately 340bhp and 450Nm of torque, with up to 500Nm available under overboost, it is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in around 4.8 seconds. The result is a car that offers genuine sportscar performance while retaining the refinement and usability expected of a BMW grand tourer.
The 35is specification brings several enhancements over the standard sDrive35i, including Adaptive M Sport suspension, a lowered ride height, sports exhaust, uprated steering and the distinctive M aerodynamic package, complemented by its purposeful stance and 18-inch alloy wheels. The retractable hardtop further enhances the Z4's versatility, providing the character of an open sportscar when lowered while offering coupe-like refinement when closed.
