The Ginetta G40 is a road-legal track focused sports car boasting one of the most incredible, analogue driving experiences of its class. Competing against the likes of Lotus, the Leeds based company has found perfect balance between outright performance and elegance. LX64 BJU was originally purchased and maintained by Raceway Motorsport for a client of theirs. The factory built GRDC championship spec Ginetta comes complete with IVE certification and FIA approval. Now presenting nicely with only 15,000 miles on the clock, the G40 is a very tidy inexpensive track day monster. Delightfully elevated, the specification for this car featured additional sound deadening, head liners with interior lights, flocked dashboard and interior panels as well as FIA certified Cobra branded seats, and VBOX charging ports. Mechanically, the G40 shines with its lightweight, CAD designed, FIA approved race car chassis which provides the platform for its incredible agility. Enhancing the handling is a quaiffe limited slip differential and adjustable coilovers. At the heart of the Ginetta is a tuned Ford Zetec engine that provides plenty of power for the lightweight race car. The MX5 transmission feels exceptionally sharp as you snatch through the gears.
Having been meticulously serviced using parts available from the manufacturer throughout its life following each event it has competed in, the G40 is mechanically excellent. Upon its arrival to our showroom, we quickly tested out its ability on winding country roads, and it proved to be seriously impressive. While Ginetta still produces cars, the race car manufacturer are no longer producing road legal options making this car a brilliant option for those wanting a fantastic car for weekend use in addition to fun around the track.
