Description

This Ferrari 575M Maranello, chassis no. 130965, was first registered by Ferrari dealer Forza S.p.A. of Turin on February 12th, 2003, to an important Italian industrial company. Since then, the car has remained exclusively in Italy and has had only a few collector owners who have carefully preserved it in outstanding condition.

To date, the vehicle has covered only 23,850 kilometres, fully documented through Ferrari official dealer service records and the mandatory periodic inspections carried out throughout its life.

The car presents in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. The timing belts have been replaced recently, ensuring that one of the most important maintenance procedures has already been performed according to Ferrari standards.

The Ferrari Red exterior combined with a black leather interior is undoubtedly the most iconic and sought-after colour combination among Ferrari enthusiasts and collectors. Likewise, the classic grand touring layout featuring a front-mounted V12 engine and rear-wheel drive represents one of the purest expressions of Ferrari tradition.

Model History

Introduced in 2002 as the evolution of the acclaimed Ferrari 550 Maranello, the 575M Maranello is considered one of the last truly analogue V12 Ferraris produced before the arrival of modern electronically managed GT cars. The letter "M" stands for "Modified," highlighting the extensive improvements made over the 550.

The model retained Ferrari's celebrated front-engine V12 grand touring philosophy, a layout that had previously defined legendary models such as the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The 575M refined the concept further with increased displacement, improved performance, enhanced weight distribution and more sophisticated driving dynamics.

Technical Features

Power comes from the Ferrari F133E engine, a magnificent naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V12 derived from the 550 Maranello unit but substantially upgraded. Output increased to 515 horsepower, delivering impressive performance figures:

  • Top speed: over 325 km/h (202 mph)
  • 0–100 km/h: approximately 4.2 seconds
  • Naturally aspirated 65° Ferrari V12
  • Double overhead camshafts per cylinder bank
  • Four valves per cylinder
  • Dry-sump lubrication derived from Ferrari racing technology

The 575M was also the first road-going Ferrari V12 available with the second-generation F1 electro-hydraulic transmission developed from Ferrari Formula One technology.

Its steel tubular chassis, electronically controlled independent suspension and advanced vehicle dynamics systems provide an ideal balance between long-distance comfort and high-speed sporting performance.

Production and Rarity

The Ferrari 575M Maranello was produced from 2002 to 2006 in relatively limited numbers by modern Ferrari standards.

Total production amounted to approximately 2,056 coupés, in addition to a few hundred Superamerica versions. Today the model is widely regarded as one of the most attractive modern collectible Ferraris thanks to several factors:

  • Limited production numbers.
  • Large-capacity naturally aspirated V12 engine.
  • Traditional front-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration.
  • Timeless Pininfarina styling.
  • Belonging to the last generation of genuinely analogue Ferrari GT cars.
  • Growing international collector demand.

Low-mileage examples with complete service history, original specifications and highly desirable colour combinations are increasingly sought after worldwide.

Collector's Perspective

With only 23,850 kilometres from new, continuous Italian ownership history, complete Ferrari dealer maintenance records, recent major servicing and the highly desirable Ferrari Red over black leather specification, this example represents one of the most attractive configurations for collectors seeking a high-quality Ferrari V12 grand tourer with strong long-term appreciation potential.
