Motors Corner presents for sale this 1983 Land Rover Series III 88 :
Car history:
This Land Rover Series 3 is a pick-up model which has just undergone a very thorough "restomod" restoration carried out at Timeless Garage.
Renowned for their robustness and their timeless look, the Series III are peerless 4x4s.
Our copy was also modernized during its restoration:
The idea was to have a vehicle that could drive like a modern car.
In short, the goal was to sublimate the attractions while erasing as much as possible the original defects of the vehicle.
Interior:
The interior is completely new.
The front seats have been restored and reupholstered in black leather, as have the rear seats.
A center armrest was custom made and a Marshall speaker was built into it.
The leather upholstery of the dashboard is new, as is the trim on the steering wheel.
All the bodywork elements have been redone, the parts that can be seen in the passenger compartment also show no defects.
The dumpster was clad in wood. Varnish and seals have been applied to guarantee watertightness.
Exterior:
The body was stripped bare during the restoration. All the body parts are new, as are the soft top and its frame.
The set has no defects.
The 4 16-inch rims are new, as are the 4 BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires.
Mechanic:
The mechanics have also been improved.
Chassis sandblasted, anodized and powder coated, all bolts and nuts changed to new
The engine, gearbox, cooling circuit and complete wiring harness were replaced with parts from a 1996 Land Rover Discovery 300 TDI automatic.
The set has been adapted according to the rules of the art and has been completely refurbished.
Many mechanical parts have been anodized or powder coated.
The suspensions and brakes (discs at the front) have been improved for more comfort and safety.
This Land Rover is also equipped with power steering.
