The BMW 3.0 Si represents the height of BMW's early executive-sport saloon philosophy, blending understated luxury with genuinely engaging performance. Part of the E3 'New Six' line-up introduced in the late 1960s, the 3.0 Si refined the formula that helped establish BMW as a global benchmark for driver-focused saloons. Under its bonnet sits a 3.0 litre in-line six engine from BMW's revered M30 family. Originally registered on 11th May 1976, this BMW was purchased by the vendor a number of years ago with a view to restoring it to its former glory. Unfortunately, circumstances have not allowed for that, and it has been decided to put this rare BMW (only 21 according to 'how many left') up for sale. It is basically a sound example that runs and drives, having been stored in a secure barn since purchase. This manual gearbox example of one of BMW's classic design, represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiast to restore this 3.0 Si.
