Description
The definition “sports car” was subject to a change of meaning at Mercedes. Travel comfort and safety became a high priority for the new R 107 series. In addition, the new V8 engine was ready: light, powerful and with far better exhaust emissions than the predecessor. In April 1971, the new roadster was presented to the public, the 350 SL. The advertising slogan was: ‘When there is a new Mercedes, there is a new car!’ The series was built until 1989.
Our Mercedes-Benz 350 SL with its first registration in May 1972 in Düsseldorf (Germany) is a very early model. The manual transmission is rather rare. But it’s a pleasure to experience the V8 engine with the gearshift. A lot of money has been invested in the bodywork and technology. So the car is in exceptional condition.
