Hexagon Classics are very pleased to offer this low mileage 993 Targa. It looks excellent in its classic colour combination and has been extremely well maintained by its previous owner.

For some drivers, a coupé is too closed, a cabriolet too open. That is where the 993 Targa manages to provide the perfect solution for Porsche drivers.  1996 model year saw the debut of the so-called "greenhouse" system: a large retractable glass roof. The new glass roof design allowed the 993 Targa to retain the same side profile as the other 911 Carrera. The 993 Targa made the drive to work feel like a holiday.

In virtually every situation, it is possible to keep the engine at its best torque range above 4,500 rpm. The 911’s horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine is located at the rear, putting the weight of the engine on the driven wheels which aids greatly in increasing traction. The exceptional reliability and usability is down to Porsche’s constant use of Motorsport as a proving ground and development platform for the components of its road cars. For the 993 to achieve maximum performance and a generous spread of torque, cylinder charging was further optimised by adding variable length inlet tracts to the two-stage tuned intake system. This was known as Varioram, and boosted torque at low and medium engine speeds, making torque more progressive, whilst at the same time ensuring maximum performance at peak revs. The engine produces 285 HP at 6,100 rpm, maximum torque is 340 Nm at 5,250 rpm.  0-62 mph takes just 5.3 seconds. The 993 has a hydraulic dual circuit braking system with 4-piston aluminium fixed callipers. All brakes are cross drilled, ensuring optimal braking even in wet conditions.

Supplied new by Jebsen & Co Porsche, HK, in June 1996, our 993 Targa is as complete as one could imagine, with a rich and detailed service history file documenting 22 service stamps. A Porsche specification Inspection service and Targa roof service has just been carried out. The Targa retains its original leather book pack, service invoices, original paperwork, and spare keys. A comprehensive 12-month warranty will also be included.
