1978 | MG MGB

This is a truly stunning, outstanding example finished in a first class colour combination of Black with Grey leather upholstery. Having left the factory finished in Black, the MGB was supplied new by Mann Egerton Limited of Luton to an Essence Distilling business based in London. The car was used regularly during the 1980’s with extensive records kept with the car. The second owner, also based in the Capital kept the MGB for an impressive 41 years, parting with the car in 2022. The MG then came into the hands of one of our long term Huddersfield based customers who has enjoyed the B over the past few classic car seasons. YLU 606S has covered just 5,000 miles since an extensive restoration back in 2011 and has had in the region of £25,000 spent taking it to such a high standard.

Receipts for good quality maintenance are on file, over the past few thousand miles the carburettors have been overhauled, the front suspension rebuilt, a new propshaft and clutch fitted along with a full new exhaust system ensuring a brilliant soundtrack on the road. This is an MG B that has a wonderful and extremely well documented history throughout its time. The car presents beautifully throughout and the chrome bumper conversion and upgraded wheels really enhance the appearance of the car. Effortless cruising is offered with the overdrive engaged and on the contrary, spirited driving through country roads is thoroughly enjoyable. The subtle silver stitching on the exemplary soft top is a subtle way of marrying the factory colour combination together and also a clear sign of highly thought of this car is for its very few previous owners.






YLU 606S is structurally outstanding, the underside is excellent and the panels are impressive throughout. The Black paintwork has a deep shine, the chrome work is first class and the engine bay nicely presented, as is the boot compartment. The interior is magnificent and complimented by the aftermarket steering wheel, this is a seriously good looking car that can be driven and enjoyed with absolute confidence.
