For sale is my stunning LHD Intermeccanica 356 Speedster recreation, currently located near Marbella, Spain.
The car is UK registered, first UK registered in 1995, declared manufactured in 1973, and has historic vehicle status / tax-exempt status. It has covered approximately 5,200 recorded miles and comes with a full history folder, build/service documentation, receipts, and recent maintenance.
It is based on the classic 1963 Porsche 356 Speedster style, with beautiful open-top proportions, left-hand drive layout and period-inspired detailing.
The car is finished in a bespoke Black Cherry metallic pearl wrap with a black ghost stripe and gold decals. Underneath the wrap, the car retains its original Porsche blue finish. Exterior details include leather bonnet straps, period badges, classic fog lamps, upgraded LED headlamps with daytime running lights, classic EMPI alloys, black mohair hood, side windows, removable clip-on roof and a black tonneau cover with cream piping.
The interior is finished in cream leather with matching carpets, black and cream over-mats, a Nardi wood-rim steering wheel, cream-faced Smiths instruments and CD/radio sound system. The interior presents well overall with honest age-related wear/patina.
The car is powered by a 2.0-litre air-cooled engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox, dual twin-choke carburettors, electronic ignition, front disc brakes and a new stainless steel exhaust system. The engine bay is beautifully detailed with aluminium K&N air filters, chromed fan cover, braided hoses, breather system and stainless steel-lined engine bay.
It also benefits from an Intermeccanica special chassis design, front disc brakes, recent seals/overhaul, general maintenance and a battery isolator switch, which is useful for storage or occasional use.
This is a superb driving and great-looking Speedster. It starts, drives and presents extremely well, and has clearly been cared for. It comes with a full folder of receipts, service history and supporting documentation.
This car has real presence. It has previously been used for a French Vogue Marilyn Monroe-style photoshoot, which shows how photogenic and desirable it is. It is a true head-turner, the sort of car people stop to photograph, ask about and admire wherever it goes.
This is an Intermeccanica-built 356 Speedster recreation, not an original Porsche 356. It offers the look, feel and theatre of a classic Speedster without the cost or anxiety of owning an original 356.
