Very rare opportunity to acquire a completely restored Ford Capri 2600 RS.
The condition is truly exceptional!
This Capri, first registered on April 19, 1973, was owned by the same person for over 45 years, passing from father to son. Over the course of three years, Leopold Fischer in Austria completely restored the car. The engine displacement was increased to 2.8 liters, a racing camshaft was installed, and the Capri features open racing fuel injection, all with TÜV approval. The three-piece BBS wheels are fitted with new tires: 225/15 at the front and 285/15 at the rear. The wheels alone are worth a fortune. Leopold Fischer is the Kugelfischer expert, and accordingly, the mechanical Kugelfischer fuel injection system was meticulously adapted to the engine. Not a single screw was left untouched. The car is not wrapped but painted in white and blue.
The scope of the restoration includes, among other things, the following points:
- The entire body was disassembled, sandblasted, parts were remanufactured, rust was removed, and it was painted in two colors. The underbody was sealed and painted black.
- The engine was completely disassembled.
- The cylinders were bored out, honed, and enlarged to 2800cc.
- Connecting rod bearings were replaced, and the crankshaft and flywheel were machined and balanced. Main bearings were replaced. The cylinder heads were machined, and the valve seats were re-machined. The oil pump was replaced.
- The clutch and pressure plate were replaced.
- The engine gasket set was replaced.
- The oil cooler and hoses were replaced.
- The timing belt and spark plugs were replaced.
- The distributor was replaced.
- The injection pump and injectors were overhauled and adjusted.
- The front and rear brake lines were replaced.
- All fuel lines were replaced.
- The fuel pump, fuel filter, and fittings were replaced.
- The complete exhaust system was replaced.
- The starter and alternator were replaced.
- The brakes were replaced.
- New battery.
- New windshield washer fluid reservoir and motor.
- New radiator switch.
- Sport seats repaired and reupholstered.
- New headliner.
- New window seals.
- New dashboard.
- New carpets.
- New side panels.
- New gearshift lever and door locks.
And much more.
