Description

“Yellow, rare, and with a better backstory than most people.”

This Ferrari Dino 246 GT M-series, delivered new in Rome on 2 December 1970, comes in one of the rarest and most striking colors Maranello ever produced: Giallo Senape. Only 64 Dinos were originally finished in this bold mustard yellow, and this example left the factory with an equally rare white interior, making it an exceptionally desirable and collectible combination. The interior has since been professionally retrimmed in black, but the original white color is confirmed in the factory documentation. This presents a unique opportunity to return the car to its original, ultra-rare color combination—though that is by no means necessary, as it looks absolutely stunning in its current configuration.

As an M-series model, this Dino occupies a special place in the evolution of the 246 GT: the perfect bridge between the early L-series and the more common E-series. It combines mechanical improvements with the purist aesthetics of the earlier models.

What truly sets chassis #01360 apart is its extraordinary story. Stolen in the 1970s and later re-identified under chassis number #02108, its true identity remained hidden for decades until Ferrari Classiche intervened. In 2019, the factory conducted a thorough investigation, confirmed the car’s original identity, and officially restored the correct chassis number. Today, the car bears the rightful stamp of authenticity, verified and documented by Ferrari Classiche, reclaiming its proper place in Ferrari history.

Between 2017 and 2020, the car underwent a meticulous restoration by Classic Car Service in Belgium. Every detail was treated with care and precision, from the flawless bodywork and perfectly aligned panels to the fully overhauled mechanical components. The result is more than just a beautiful Dino—it delivers a sharp, responsive, soul-stirring driving experience, exactly as it was intended.

This 246 GT, with matching numbers and matching color, complete with Ferrari Classiche certification and the esteemed Dino Compendium, is far more than a collectible—it is an irreplaceable opportunity to own one of the most uniquely equipped, best-documented, and emotionally compelling Dinos in existence.

Not just any Dino. An extreme rarity.

“Proof that even Ferraris sometimes live double lives.”
