The Donkervoort S8 is the second model that the Donkervoort brand has produced since its foundation in 1978. The S8, like all Donkervoorts, is a minimalist car by nature, which means that it is extremely light and has been developed to achieve exceptional performance and manoeuvrability. The S8 is equipped with a 2-liter Ford engine. Partly due to its weight of only 580 kilograms, the S8 reaches 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, and - where possible - it can go up to 190 km/h.
The Donkervoort S8 at Classic Park is finished in a deep dark blue paint color. This suits the car particularly well and it is also the original color, as is evident from the Donkervoort certificate.
What is very special about this car with chassis number JD0049 is that it was part of the private collection of the Donkervoort company from 2005 to 2022. The documentation contains a statement from Donkervoort that substantiates this special historical element. In March 2022, the car with a mileage of 83,691 km was purchased by the current owner. A “Certificate of authenticity” drawn up by Donkervoort in 2022 is present with the car, in which the factory declares that this car is an original Donkervoort that fully meets the factory specifications of the time. This certificate was drawn up after a full technical and visual inspection by factory specialists. This Donkervoort is of course equipped with the original long front fenders, which gives the car a beautiful, classic look.
