Description

Recently imported from the good old US of A this cracker has been treated to some very worthwhile updates over the last 18 months

Finished in Targa Blue metallic with black interior, factory air conditioning (not connected), power steering and automatic transmission

The newly suppled Vortec engine has been supplied by EMC Performance Parts

Vortec block with worked Vortec heads, competition roller camshaft - the heads were £ 1.000 alone.

An Edlebrock AVS2 carburettor sits on a matched Edlebroch inlet manifold - as Edlebrock says themselves, "the future of carburetion"

The exhaust system from the manifolds is stainless steel, 2" - 2.5" giving a better exhaust flow and a fruity sound too

The engine builder suggests about 375 - 400bhp.........

Upon arrival to these shores she was stripped, painted as required and a new interior fitted - seats, foams, covers, dashboard, console, door cards, carpets, seat belts, and a modern Corvette radio adds the finishing touch

Outside new chrome has been fitted as well new badges - all fresh from the States

Tyres, shock absorbers, front end wiring loom replaced, servo's for headlights & wipers have all been replaced too

Whilst looking at the engine, it wouldn't be any good if the drive train was ignored, and yes the gearbox has been rebuilt and the rear axle has been, drained, serviced with new additive & oil

Since arrival and being finished she has trundled down to Le Mans and back again without any issues, apart from the local French villagers stopping conversations until the Corvette passes through.......and only 2.500 miles have been travelled

So all in all, and car which has been run-in, snagged as required, and ready for the new owner to use in any way required

Oh, almost forgot, T Top covers are in place for storage when not in use (not often found)

The '72 version of the Coke Bottle Corvette is the last to enjoy the chrome bumpers at both ends, so the last of the original shape, and all the better for it

The view from the cabin is amazing with the front fenders sooo high you have to be impressed that a manufacturer could build a car with such huge shapes back then

She sounds delightfully American - loud and brash - and that's why we love her
