Complete history known

This fantastic 1964 Corvette has a unique history. It was newly ordered by a Dutchman, Mr. Paul de Jong, from Deanza Chevrolet in Riverside, California, and shipped to the Netherlands. Mr. de Jong manufactured plastic products, which is why he chose a Corvette, as they were not available in the Netherlands at the time. It was equipped with the following options: L75 300 hp, 4-speed manual transmission, power brakes and steering, power windows, hardtop, and backup lights. The Corvette stood out in the Netherlands, including to Mr. P. van der Meer, who owned a transport company. He provided transportation services for De Jong’s plastics factory and regularly saw this magnificent Corvette parked there. After years of persistence, Van der Meer was able to buy the Corvette in 1972. He owned the Corvette for the last 54 years and experienced wonderful adventures with it. From weddings and enjoyable meetings to a drive along the historic Route 66 (indeed, back to the USA)! And, of course, rides with guests in the area as well. The Corvette is in fantastic, original condition. The paintwork was resprayed in 2006 and is of very high quality. The engine was rebuilt in 1999 and converted to run on unleaded fuel. Naturally, this Corvette is entirely ‘matching numbers’. Dutch registration.
