De BMW Z8 is één van de meest begeerde en zeldzame sportwagens die het Beierse merk ooit heeft voortgebracht. Ontworpen door Henrik Fisker als een eerbetoon aan de legendarische BMW 507 uit de jaren vijftig, combineert de Z8 retro-geïnspireerde lijnen met ultramoderne techniek. Van dit exclusieve model werden er wereldwijd slechts 5.439 stuks gebouwd, wat hem tot een ware collector's item maakt. Het kloppende hart van de Z8 is de 4,9-liter V8 M Power-motor — rechtstreeks afkomstig uit de E39 M5 — die 400 pk levert en via een handgeschakelde zes versnellingsbak zijn kracht naar de achterwielen stuurt. De afneembare aluminium hardtop — eveneens aanwezig — geeft de auto een gesloten, coupé-achtige verschijning die zijn elegantie nog verder versterkt. Binnenin wacht een volledig zwart lederen interieur dat naadloos samenwerkt met het zilverkleurige exterieur. De sportieve kuipstoelen, het aluminium stuurwiel met BMW-embleem, het analoge instrumentenpaneel met drie klassieke meters en de korte handbediende pookknop vormen samen een cockpit die rijden tot een belevenis maakt. De afwerking is, zoals op de foto's goed zichtbaar, nog steeds in uitstekende staat.
