Description

Being offered to the market shortly after 51 years of ownership, this matching numbers example displays just 65,662 miles and was first supplied on the 10th March 1962 to a Mrs Gwynne of Middlethorpe Hall, York (Part of the Terry’s Chocolate family). Optional extras included the desirable overdrive gearbox.

Just 185 series 4 cars were built between September 1961 to October 1962, the noticeable differences over the series 3 cars being a lowered bonnet scoop, a barred type front grill to replace the ‘egg box’ mesh grill and a lower oil cooler vent.

Presented today in Dark Blue with clear evidence of the original Dubonnet underneath, combined with the beautifully retained original Black Vaumol leather interior.

Recent expenditure included a full suspension and braking system overhaul, new clutch and road tyres, fitment of electric power steering and general recommissioning following a long period of very little use.
