The Amphicar is a unique chapter in automotive history. It's a car that can sail and drive, but it's a compromise. It's a boat that doesn't handle water optimally, and a car that isn't among the best road-going. It's made of considerably thicker steel and therefore somewhat heavier. It has two propellers and steers with the front wheels. Any incoming water can be drained with a bilge pump. The engine is from the British Triumph Herald. At the time, the Amphicar cost about the same as two Volkswagens. Approximately 3,000 were made.

This beautifully restored example has been in the Netherlands for a long time and looks almost like new. The color is aqua green with a white and yellow interior. Ready to drive and sail.
