According to the Alfa Romeo Certificate of origin this Tipo 101.23 Giulia Spider was sold new in Newark, USA. The car has the same numbers and colours as when it left the factory gates in 1964! In March 1972 the car was imported to the Netherlands and given registration 95-17-SX. The Giulia Spider was acquired by the last private owner on 15 June 1982. The car was part of a collection until 2026 when it was purchased by S2 Classic Cars.
Maintenance
In the 44 years of sole ownership the car was thoroughly restored before the year 2000. The car comes with a factory original hardtop that does not belong to this car, it needs lower edge modifications to match this car. In 2025, the car was recommissioned and serviced (see logbook). The brake system was overhauled, the valve clearances were checked and adjusted, all oils and fluids were renewed, and new filters and spark plugs were fitted.
This wonderful Giulia 1600 Spider is in a very good condition and the car drives delightfully. The car shows all the original details and is fitted with a simple late 1960s/ early 1970s radio. The canvas soft top is somewhat faded but still in good condition.
This is a desirable Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider, a car to be enjoyed to the fullest. In this colour scheme you can experience the Italian ‘dolce vita’ from the 1960s. and not only that, the sporty 1600 engine, and the excellent road manners make you enjoy the sporty character of this great Italian classic!
