The W126-generation S-Class is widely regarded as one of the finest cars ever produced by Mercedes-Benz, combining exceptional engineering, durability and refinement in a package that set the benchmark for luxury saloons throughout the 1980s. Built between 1979 and 1991, the W126 became the best-selling S-Class generation and remains highly prized by enthusiasts and collectors today. Representing one of the most desirable models in the range, the 500 SE paired the standard-wheelbase bodyshell with Mercedes-Benz's acclaimed 5.0 litre M117 V8 engine. Finished in elegant Nautic Blue metallic with grey velour upholstery, this remarkably original example was first registered on 30th August 1985 and supplied new to a local gentleman.
