In the mid-1960s, the idea of fitting compact limousines with powerful V8 engines, which had originated in the USA, also reached Europe. In the UK, Bristol and Jensen were at the forefront of this trend. Mercedes-Benz, too, decided to offer the fantastic 6.3-litre V8 engine from the 600 model in the smaller 300 SEL series. This enabled customers to purchase what was, at the time, the fastest German production limousine. This exceptional limousine occupied a special position: its quality, comfort and performance figures were unrivalled at the time.
Our Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 limousine comes from its first owner, a count, in Germany. Maintenance and servicing were carried out directly at the Mercedes factory in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim until 1977. Today, this classic car is part of a collection. It is known that it was once repainted in its original colour. This dream classic is ready and waiting for you!
