Starting in 1963 with the original 911, Porsche has produced a line of six-cylinder rear-engine sportscars that could compete with much more powerful cars thanks to their low weight and superior handling. Introduced in 1984, the Carrera 3.2 was the last iteration of the classic 911 before the large changes of the 964. The Carrera 3.2 produced 231 horsepower at 5,900rpm, which was delivered through the desirable Getrag G50 transaxle from the 1987 production year and onwards.

True to Porsche's reputation, the Carrera 3.2 offered the unique experience of driving pleasure and performance without sacrificing comfort and usability. Due to their robust construction and strong owner's groups, these 1980s 911s are great cars to be enjoyed and driven.

This 911 3.2 Carrera

Completed at Porsche during September of 1987 as a 1988 model-year car, this spectacular Carrera 3.2 Coupe was finished just as it appears today, painted in a rare shade called Carmine Red (or in German Cherry Rot) - a 1987 and 1988 only color ! - and finished with a Black interior. Fitted with desirable optional extras including sunroof and full leather dashboard and door panels, the new Carrera also featured the much-improved Getrag G50 5-speed manual transaxle.

Sold new in Germany the Carrera changed hands two times over the lifespan of 30yrs. The third German owner was really meticulous on his car and decided on a extensive restoration. He then kept on to the car and it actually remained in its home country until 2022, when it was acquired by the last - French - owner. This is all proven by the documents on file.

This lovely example received a full restoration from A to Z. The interior, the engine, suspension, bodywork... everything was taken care of. The body was completely stripped and exposed down to metal before repainting. Our paint measurements show a full respray with no signs of heavy body fillers nor is there an accident repair known or visible. Of course, today paint gloss and depth is perfect and even throughout. 

The engine and gearbox have been completely overhauled. New bearings, new synchros, new seals, valves,.... The entire mechanics are also new and have barely driven since restoration. Everything is documented in pictures.

Everything looks just as how it left the factory including original Fuchs wheels which are now fitted with recent Michelin tires. The car drives incredibly well, as would be expected from a well-serviced and fully restored Porsche. The original electric adjustable and heated seats are still in the car and are a testament to its quality and good maintenance.

This is a rare one as there are only a handful of models in Carmine Red with sunroof. Offered with the owner's manuals in pouch, space saver spare, jack and tool roll, this is a perfect condition 911 Carrera 3.2-Liter car not to be missed!

The car currently has Belgian registration.
