1981 | Land Rover Range Rover Classic 3.5

The Charles Spencer King-designed Range Rover was released in 1970 as “a car for all reasons” and continued in production largely unchanged until 1994. This example has been modified with a high-lift suspension kit and is finished in the crisp hue of Davos White. Described by the seller as being an ideal basis for a backdate-style customisation or light restoration, it could make a great project for any classic Range Rover enthusiast, or it could of course could be enjoyed as-is. 

• It is powered by a 3.5-litre V8, driving all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.  

• The odometer indicates 87,215 kilometres, but the true total mileage is believed to be around 100,000 km.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• The car is finished in Davos White over a beige cloth-trimmed cabin. 

• It rides on a set of 16-inch three-spoke alloy wheels, fitted with Goodyear tyres. 

• Equipment includes power steering, electric front windows, and a Sony stereo.

• Modifications include high-lift suspension, an aftermarket steering wheel, a rev counter, larger exterior mirrors, later-specification wheels and grille, and Weber carburettors.

CONDITION

• The vehicle has previously been resprayed and the front seats have been retrimmed. 

• Specific notes from the seller include: a small mark on the left door and a hole in the rear fender, which was caused by the removal of a previously fitted gas fuel system. 

• The air conditioning compressor has been removed. 

• The most recent roadworthiness inspection was reportedly conducted in December 2021.

• The car was last serviced in January 2024 at approximately 97,000 kilometres.
