The Jaguar 420G was the final evolution of the mighty Jaguar Mark X, and to this day it remains the most spacious and imposing saloon Jaguar ever built. Exterior: The body has been beautifully repainted in Opalescent Dark Green – a deep, elegant color that suits the Jaguar 420G’s massive proportions perfectly. The finish is excellent throughout, with sharp panel fit, clean lines, and flawless chrome. The car sits just right on a set of correct Michelin XWX 205 VR14 tires. Both the front and rear subframes have been removed, refurbished, and reinstalled. Underneath, the Jaguar is clean, dry, and solid, it’s been properly done from top to bottom.

Interior: The interior of this Jaguar 420G is finished in the correct beige leather, just as it left the factory – confirmed by the Heritage Certificate. It’s a beautiful place to sit, with soft, comfortable seats and a calm, classic feel throughout. In the back, you’ll find a pair of lovely walnut tray tables, perfect for that extra touch of luxury. The headliner is spotless, and everything inside works just as it should. It’s the kind of interior that makes you want to take the long way home. Engine and Mechanical: This is where the car really stands out. From new, this Jaguar 420G was delivered with a manual gearbox and overdrive, something very few cars were specified with. The original matching numbers 4.2-litre XK engine has been completely rebuilt, and all major mechanical systems have been overhauled. Suspension, brakes, cooling, bushings, hoses – everything has been gone through to make this a proper driving car. The gearbox shifts cleanly, the overdrive engages as it should, and the car pulls strongly with a smooth, torquey feel that makes long-distance cruising a joy.

History and Documentation: This Jaguar 420G was sold new in Belgium to Embassador Emile Kassa Mapsi and later moved to Germany before being imported to Sweden. It comes with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, confirming the factory colors, engine, and specifications. There’s a thick folder of documentation, including recent invoices totaling over £50,000 for mechanical work, paint, and detailing. It’s clear that no corners have been cut – this car has been maintained and restored to a very high standard by people who knew what they were doing.
