Rare left-hand drive example

The DB2/4 was one of the fastest production cars of its time, how did they manage to produce such a fast yet very comfortable and luxurious car with such a modest engine capacity? The Bentley Drivers' Club even called it "the fastest shooting brake in the world." The greatest modifications of the new 2+2 seating arrangement with the 2nd row of seats allowed for a comfortable family ride. The manufacturing process involved the collaboration of multiple locations, with chassis and engine production concentrated in Yorkshire, while body production took place at Mulliners in Birmingham.

Our stunning 1955 Aston Martin DB 2/4 is one of only 102 drophead coupes ever built. As if that wasn't rare enough, this is also an original left-hand drive. Only 10% of these cars were delivered left-hand drive, which makes them hugely sought after today. She was delivered new by U.S. importers J.S. Inskip in New York City and came into the possession of Roger Morrison, a longtime Concours judge and former chairman of McPherson College's Auto Restoration Advisory Board, in 1988.

Several years ago, the car underwent a complete restoration. The stunning body color, Snow Shadow Beige, was expertly repainted, and the interior received reupholstery to the highest standards. The attention to detail put into this restoration is truly impressive, perfect fits, straight panels and beautiful chrome work. This line continues in the interior as well. The completely redone bordeaux seats look like new, as do the dashboard, woodwork and floor coverings. In addition, all electrical elements such as wiring and lighting were also renewed to original specifications and all dashboard instruments work as they should. Incidentally, the restoration of this car was meticulously documented in a comprehensive report, in which the entire process is detailed through numerous photos.

This 1955 Aston Martin DB 2/4 was fitted with the more powerful 2.9 engine, an undeniable improvement over the 2.6 engine of its 1953 predecessor. It was tuned to perfection and is still fully matching numbers today. This extremely reliable engine starts in no time while the smooth 4-speed gearbox reproduces the power of this Aston Martin perfectly in every gear and at any speed. To make driving even more enjoyable, an electric power steering was added, so you no longer have to drag the steering wheel, but can steer it effortlessly with your little finger.

This beautiful Aston Martin DB2/4 is the cream of the crop and in exceptionally good condition, also one of the most coveted models by true collectors and rare to find in this condition. Ready for years of driving pleasure!
