Description
Introduced in 2003, the second-generation Volvo V70 R represented the Swedish marque's most serious performance estate to date, successfully combining practicality, luxury and genuine high-performance credentials. Powered by a turbocharged 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine producing 300bhp, the V70 R was capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in under six seconds, placing it firmly among the fastest estates of its era. Distinguished by its unique body styling, larger alloy wheels and discreet 'R' badging, the model featured Volvo's sophisticated Four-C active chassis system, allowing drivers to select varying suspension settings ranging from comfort-focused touring to more dynamic handling characteristics. Permanent all-wheel drive ensured impressive traction in all conditions, while a refined interior offered premium leather upholstery, aluminium trim and the exceptional levels of comfort for which Volvo had become renowned. Today, the V70 R is regarded as a modern performance classic; a rare and highly capable estate that perfectly balances everyday usability with understated Scandinavian performance.
Presented in a rare combination of Flash Green with magnolia trim, this R version with the AWD system comes with a private plate and is a UK supplied model registered on 29th September 2003. Offered in factory standard with the bespoke R alloy wheels, rear parking sensors and headlamp wash. The history file boasts lots of invoices, receipts and old MoT test certificates with a current MoT valid until April 2027, Volvo book pack and workshop manual.
