1950 | Veritas Meteor

Veritas was founded in southern Germany in 1946. The aim was to build competitive racing cars using parts from the BMW 328. The racing cars quickly proved successful. One very successful Veritas racing driver was Paul Pietsch, founder of Motor-Presse Verlag in Stuttgart. In 1950, the company moved to a former Heinkel factory near Rastatt. The BMW engines were replaced by more modern Heinkel light alloy units. Unfortunately, the company had to cease operations in 1953. A total of only 78 racing and sports cars were built. They are all rarities. Only 28 Veritas Meteor cars were ever produced.

Our vehicle can be identified by its chassis number as having been built in 1950. The engine is the famous Heinkel unit. The racing car was completely rebuilt in Germany and is not road legal. So it’s something for collectors and specialists.
