De Porsche 911T Targa Ölklappe uit 1972 is een van de meest intrigerende en zeldzame varianten binnen de iconische 911-serie. De bijnaam “Ölklappe” verwijst naar de unieke externe olievulklep in het rechter achterscherm – een oplossing die Porsche slechts één jaar toepaste. Het idee was praktisch, vergelijkbaar met een tankklep, maar in de praktijk leidde dit regelmatig tot verwarring bij tankstations, waardoor er soms per ongeluk brandstof in de olietank werd gegoten. Porsche besloot dit ontwerp daarom al snel weer te schrappen, wat deze uitvoering vandaag de dag uitzonderlijk zeldzaam en geliefd maakt onder verzamelaars.
Deze 911T is uitgerust met een 2340cc motor en een handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak, goed voor een pure en analoge rijervaring. Het exemplaar is in 2017/2018 uitvoerig gerestaureerd door een Porsche specialist, met facturen ter waarde van € 90.000 en een uitgebreide fotoreportage als tastbaar bewijs van de hoogwaardige restauratie.

The 1972 Porsche 911T Targa Oil Flap is one of the most intriguing and rare variants within the iconic 911 series. The nickname “Ölklappe” refers to the unique external oil filler cap in the right rear fender – a solution that Porsche used for only one year. The idea was practical, comparable to a fuel filler cap, but in practice, this frequently led to confusion at gas stations, sometimes resulting in fuel being accidentally poured into the oil tank. Porsche therefore decided to scrap this design quite early on, making this version exceptionally rare and highly sought after by collectors today.
This 911T is equipped with a 2340cc engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, ensuring a pure and analog driving experience.
